2026 IBB World Championship
The IBB World Championship will be held virtually from November 6 – 11 (tentative) in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience in Washington, D.C. The Championship brings together national champions from around the world. To be eligible for the IBB World Championship 2026, each participant must first win their respective national Brain Bee competition.
2026 IBB NextGen
The top five winners of the 2025 IBB World Championship will participate in the third IBB NextGen event to be hosted during the FENS Forum in Barcelona, Spain, in July 2026.
2025 IBB World Championship November 7-12
The 2025 IBB World Championship was held virtually in conjunction with Neuroscience 2025 (the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience) in San Diego, California. The event will brought together national Brain Bee champions from around the globe for an engaging competition and social program. Each champion must have won the highest level of Brain Bee competition in their country to be eligible for participation in the World Championship.
2025 IBB NextGen
The top five winners of the 2024 IBB World Championship will participate in the second IBB NextGen event to be hosted during the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC 2025) in Toronto, Canada, in July 2025.
The Neuroscience Competition for Teens
The International Brain Bee was founded in 1998 by Norbert Myslinski with the goal of building better brains to fight brain disorders. Since its inception, the International Brain Bee has inspired thousands of students to study and pursue careers in neuroscience and medicine. The organization promotes student engagement through a three-tiered competition: students typically begin by participating in a Local Brain Bee where available, with top performers advancing to their country’s National Brain Bee. Each year, National Brain Bees send one representative to compete at the IBB World Championship.
